Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4, 1954. She is a comedian actor, writer, and actress. O'Hara is the proud recipient of several awards which include a Genie Award. She was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honoured with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress while she was part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. With John Candy and Dan Aykroyd she was part of the main team of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara received high praise for her comedy writing and acting skills and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for the Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara joined the Second City artistic advisory board in 2022. She was joined by Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert and Tina Fey.
