Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born August 19 1965 is an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. She is most famous for playing the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. After the end of the seventh season, the show was cancelled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and participates in Passover meal times.
